(hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer”).
Participation in the Contest
The contest is open to all individuals aged 18 or older who have an Internet connection.
By participating, entrants fully accept these Terms and Conditions of Participation, which the Organizer reserves the right to amend at any time, without prior notice or justification.
Any updates to these Terms will be published exclusively on the official website: calendario-laregionedascoprire.ch.
The following are excluded from participation:
- employees and partners of OTRMBC,
- individuals involved in the organization or management of the contest,
- their immediate family members.
Contest Procedure
By accessing the official Mendrisiotto Turismo Advent Calendar website, participants can open the daily box, answer the quiz question, and enter their contact details in the digital reply form.
Only those who submit a correct answer by 11:59 p.m. on the day of validity of the respective box will be entered into the draw for that day’s prize.
Each person may participate only once per daily box. Participants are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided.
In the event of incorrect, incomplete, or non-compliant information, the right to claim a prize will be forfeited. The Organizer reserves the right to verify the accuracy of the data provided and exclude any invalid entries from the
contest.
Winner Selection
Only valid entries submitted within the specified deadline will be considered for the draw.
The Organizer declines any responsibility for the non-receipt of responses due to technical issues or any other reason.
Participation in the draw occurs automatically upon submission of a correct answer via the digital reply form.
The Organizer will conduct the winner selection using a digital random number generator platform.
Only participants who correctly answered the daily question will be included in the draw.
Winners will be notified of their prize via e-mail within 30 days following the closure of the Advent Calendar.
Winner Notification
The winners will be notified exclusively by e-mail at the address provided at the time of entry.
The prize will be delivered in digital format (PDF) or, in exceptional cases, sent by post to the address provided by the participant.
In compliance with data protection regulations, the winners’ information will not be shared with the prize-providers’ partners.
If a winner cannot be reached, provides invalid data, or is under 18 years of age, the prize will not be awarded, and the Organizer reserves the right to carry out a new draw.
Regarding the Prize
Cash payments and legal recourse are excluded. The validity of the prize vouchers must be respected by the winners, according to the expiry date indicated on the voucher.
By participating, the winner assumes full responsibility for any tax obligations related to the prize.
The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or for another item, nor transferred or sold.
If a prize cannot be delivered for reasons beyond the Organizer’s control, the Organizer reserves the right, at its sole
discretion, to award a substitute prize of equal value.
In the case of stays or experience prizes, the booking and use must be made directly with the partner establishment,
following the conditions set by the prize provider.
Any additional costs, without exception (e.g. meals, transport, or other expenses not included in the prize), shall be borne by the winner.
Data Protection
The personal data provided by participants (name, surname, e-mail address and any other contact details) are collected exclusively for the administration of the competition and for drawing the prizes.
Such data will not be used for marketing purposes and will not be disclosed to third parties, except for the technical service providers appointed by the Organizer (e.g., online platform or support agency), who will process the data only for the purposes of the competition and in accordance with the Organizer’s instructions.
Only if the participant has given explicit consent to subscribe to the newsletter or to other promotional communications may their contact details be used for that purpose.
The data of participants who have not given such consent will be deleted by 31 March 2026 at the latest.
The Organizer ensures that all data processing operations are conducted in full compliance with the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) of Switzerland.
Final Provisions
This contest and its related regulations are governed by Swiss law, excluding the provisions of the Federal Act on Private International Law (PILA).
For any disputes arising from or related to these regulations or the contest – including those concerning the validity,
nullity, or violation of these terms – the courts of Lugano (Switzerland) shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
In the event of a breach of these conditions or any attempt to manipulate the contest, the Organizer reserves the right to exclude the offenders from participation. In such cases, the prize will be forfeited, and the Organizer may request the return of the awarded prize.
